About self help central
My name is Kate Adams and I have been immersed in the health and self-help world since an early age. My parents helped launch the original Vegeburger when I was tiny and I remember trying lots of weird and wonderful new foods while growing up.
I headed straight to health when I went into book publishing and my secret goal was to find a book about healthy eating that would be as big as Atkins. When the pilot for the Channel Four series You Are What You Eat landed on my desk my cosmic wish was granted! This became the highest selling health book of the past decade in terms of value.

I’ve started up Self Help Central because I want to revolutionise self help for the Google generation. I want to help people find great information and create great information. From reviewing the self help classics to creating a set of five minute audio meditations I want to explore the current boundaries of self help and perhaps create new ground too.
Self Help Central Philosophy
-
Change is good
Change is difficult but also brings opportunities. Self Help Central is about grasping the moment presented by our changing times to go forward with a positive approach and generosity of spirit. -
Two minds are better than one
Self Help Central is a place to share great ideas, collaborate and bring people together. -
Everything is personal
We are all connected and individual at the same time. Self Help Central celebrates both, it’s about discovering exactly what you have to offer and then going for it! - Have a good time
